1. Finding the square of a number with the
digit 5 at unit place.
452 = 2025
552= 3025
First be clear that the
last two digits of perfect square of the number of the number is always 25
Then multiply the remaining
number with its consecutive number.
For eg:
i) 352 =1225, first make 52=25
and nest consecutive number of 3 is 4. And 3×4=12
Hence 352
=1225.
ii)752 For
this: (7+1) ×8=56 and 52=25. Therefore 5625.
2. Multiplying numbers in between 90 to
100.
96×95=9120
Tricks: i) Make
three hundred
100
100 100
ii) Subtract
96 from 100 and 95 from another 100.
100-96 = 4 and 100-95 = 5
iii) Now add 4
and 5 then subtract from 100
100-(4+5) =91
iv) Multiply 4
and 5 i.e. 4×5=20
v) Now
finally arrange: 96 ×95=9120
